North Carolina Getaway!

This last weekend was our last time to go on a spontaneous weekend getaway before Josh deploys.  So what did we do??

We went with another couple to Nags Head, NC, and Roanoke Island, NC!  SOOOOO FUN!  We played on the beach, ate at a wonderful restaurant, went kayaking, and strolled around the cutest little town.

Here are a few beach pictures:

Our friends brought their dog, Finnegan (Finn), who is only one month old and just SOOO cute!

This is my friend Caty...such a sweet girl!

All the boys digging holes in the sand.

This was the neatest sign in downtown Roanoke Island, NC.  It showed where all the tourists sites were to make sure people hit up.  So crafty!

Here we are about to board our kayaks for a cruise out in the bay of Roanoke Island and then out into the waves of the ocean!  If I wasn't so afraid of tipping (which none of us did) I would have taken a camera with me, but I'm not that dumb!  So this is all we have to show for our kayak adventure.

Sunset across the street from our hotel.  Too bad we didn't get an ocean view of the sunset. :-(

Out for pizza and ice cream!  YUM!!!

Might I just say this was the BEST way to spend a weekend out before Josh leaves in less than two weeks.  I will soon start packing the apartment up (soon as in I should have started today) to put all of our belongings into storage.  While Josh is gone I'll be spending the summer at my parent's place in Fordland, MO.  During the fall school year I'll actually be living in Shawnee, OK, with Josh's parents while I take Philosophy to finish up my degree.  I've been putting it off for a long time, but I think everyone would agree that this will be the perfect time to get my degree finished up!

Hello-

I was wondering if you accept guest posts? I have an article that I would like to submit that is about dancing and how it relates to fitness. Primrose Schools is hosting a Dance Off competition for families and I think it is something you and your readers would enjoy!

I am also interested in any advertising opportunities that you may have that I can forward along to my marketing team.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you,
